SAFILT Tools and Resources: Peer Observation Cards

These resources are provided by St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust and are part of the ongoing development work being undertaken at the George’s Advanced Patient Simulation (GAPS) centre.  It provides a useful template for both novice and expert facilitators to generate the input of observers of clinical scenarios to the debrief.  What is also very useful is a specific section that refers to outcomes specifically required for the Foundation Year and could be included as part of the portfolio required for submission.

At present this work is experimental and subject to ongoing refinement.  The team at GAPS have provided this out of the willingness to share information with other centres and to support ongoing collegiality between faculties.  However, as a template it is free to adapt and modify as related to the particular scenarios developed at each centre if they wish to test it out for themselves.
