STeLI Faculty Development

STeLI supports the development of highly trained clinical facilitators to lead the integration of simulation into multi-professional clinical training.

NEW INTER-PROFESSIONAL TRAINING THE TRAINERS:

London Deanery and the Commissioner for Non-Medical Education and Training CPPD team have commissioned STeLI faculty development opportunities explicitly for inter-professional teams.

This means that nurses, midwives, radiographers and other health professionals are entitled to attend simulation Training the Trainers courses.  The suitable courses are marked below.

2012:

What is simulation faculty development?

London Deanery commissions NHS London Simulation Centres to deliver advanced ‘Training the Trainers’ courses.

Courses are run by experienced facilitator trainers and healthcare professionals and equip delegates with the ability to provide effective debriefing of complex professional behaviours to individuals and teams.

In preparation for delivering full immersion training, facilitators will develop advanced observational, communication and feedback skills, in particular around non-technical and crisis resource management skills. This allows learners to develop increased self-awareness and insight into complex team and individual professional behaviours.

All STeLI Faculty Development courses emphasise the important principles of safe patient care and focus on complex aspects of clinical practice by highlighting human factors in general and crisis resource management skills in particular.

The London Deanery's STeLI Faculty Development courses are available free of charge and exclusively for facilitators training London Deanery trainees at NHS Trusts affiliated with the London Deanery.  If you are unsure of your eligibility please contact David Marston, or 020 7862 8596.

Booking and course management is handled by the centre delivering the training.  Either click on the date or the centre of your choice to find out more.
