1 March 2010: London Deanery Simulation Conference announces Key Note Speaker.
Sir John Tooke has been confirmed as a key note speaker at the
London Deanery's 3rd Annual Simulation Conference - 'Innovation in
Education - the engine for change.' Sir John, who led the independent
inquiry into Modernising Medical Careers (MMC), will address 'Aspiring
to Educational Excellence - Challenges and Opportunities'.
The conference, part of the Simulation and Technology-enhanced Learning
Initiative (STeLI), will include national speakers from NHS
organisations and simulation experts.
As well as plenary speeches the event includes parallel
workshops/sessions promoting Innovation and Best Practice. There will
be a live demonstration of distributed simulation, highlighting new
trauma team training opportunities and trauma surgical skills training
scenarios.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to meet industry
representatives and see their latest developments as well as hear the
winners of the 2010 STeLI 'Excellence in Education' Innovation Awards
announced.
