If you are involved in training at NHS London organisations but don't have access to Synapse or are having difficulty downloading the resources email David Marston (david.marston@londondeanery.ac.uk). Supporting Advanced Facilitation and Learning Transfer in Clinical Simulation This web-based collection of teaching resources is also available on the STeLI website. Hospital at Night - safer care, safer training Hospital at Night (HaN) is a web-based resource targeted at HaN multi-disciplinary teams. It has been developed by e-Learning for Healthcare in collaboration with Skills for Health Workforce Projects Team (WPT) and STeLI. The project was further supported by the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Nursing. HaN is a key componenet of London Deanery's and WPT's overall vision to make HaN a mainstream component of the delivery of safe and effective clinical care to patients throughout the NHS. It supports the training of junior docotrs, particularly those in foundation and core training programmes, and nursing staff, whilst providing a resource for others, such as consultants or magerial staff, involved in the delivery and support of out of hours care. HaN comprises 20 sessiosn split into 2 courses:
HaN is available now from e-learning for Healthcare. MA in Technology and Simulation in Clinical Practice This MA is produced in collaboration between the Institute of Education and the London Deanery in support of STeLI and is aimed at clinical practitioners who use simulation and educational technologies to teach and learn clinical practice. Through reflection on practice, you will explore:
Applications are welcome throughout the year. Start dates are October, January or April annually and all modules can be taken as short courses. The course aims to equip clinical practitioners with the knowledge and understanding to implement the move toward technology and simulation-based learning in clinica settings. Some of the questions underpinning the course include:

Clinical Leadership and Management Developing professional capabilities is a key objective of STeLI. The link below will take you to NHS London's Leading for Health initiative that incorporates talent management, succession planning, leadership development programmes and leadership masterclasses. http://www.london.nhs.uk/what-we-do/developing-nhs-staff/leading-for-health Anatomy Resources The are many excellent anatomy resources available on the internet - many for free - follow the link for an index: Anatomy Resources. Patient Experience films Both Patient Voices and Patient Stories offer free online films to provoke conversation, debate and learning by enabling clinical staff to hear the other side of their practice. Patient Voices aims to facilitate the telling and hearing of some of the unwritten stories of ordinary people so that those who devise and implement strategy in health and social care, as well as those involved directly, may carry out their duties in an informed manner. Founders Pip Hardy and Tony Summer have spoken at past STeLI events. Patient Stories aims to use documentary and drama-documentary film-making techniques to provoke discussion and debate about safety and quality isuses amongst healthcare professionals. Educational Resources CETL Learning - ultrasound images of the tongue during the production of all consonants in Standard Southern British English. The videos allow us to see the actions of the tongue while simultaneously hearing the sound that is produced. BMJ Learning Simulation Centre - e-learning module from BMJ Learning, developed alongside Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. Read and reflect on current issues; see what others think and have your say. Learn Higher - Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning: Resources desgined to help both students and tutors understand and overcome the challenges of group work. The learning path involves a series of 10 episodes, each highlighting a different aspect of working within a group and includes video clips, audio clips and observation and discussion points. Medical and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), an executive agency of the Deaprtment of Health, pilot scheme for Medical Devices Driving Licence (MDDL) has produced online education programmes.
