STeLI Faculty DevelopmentSTeLI supports the development of highly trained clinical facilitators to lead the integration of simulation into multi-professional clinical training. What is simulation faculty development? London Deanery commissions NHS London Simulation Centres to deliver advanced ‘Training the Trainers’ courses. Courses are run by experienced facilitator trainers and healthcare professionals and equip delegates with the ability to provide effective debriefing of complex professional behaviours to individuals and teams. In preparation for delivering full immersion training, facilitators will develop advanced observational, communication and feedback skills, in particular around non-technical and crisis resource management skills. This allows learners to develop increased self-awareness and insight into complex team and individual professional behaviours. All STeLI Faculty Development courses emphasise the important principles of safe patient care and focus on complex aspects of clinical practice by highlighting human factors in general and crisis resource management skills in particular. Courses may require candidates to deliver mentored training before completion. Full programme details will be provided by the centre delivering the training. The London Deanery's STeLI Faculty Development courses are available free of charge and exclusively for facilitators training London Deanery trainees at NHS Trusts affiliated with the London Deanery. If you are unsure of your eligibility please contact David Marston, or 020 7862 8596. Booking and course management is handled by the centre delivering the training.
