UCLH offers a two day Training the Trainers course aimed at developing highly competent simulation facilitators to deliver first class simulation training across London. At the end of the course delegates will be able to:

• Understand the role and scope of simulation in healthcare training
• Understand adult education theory with particular emphasis on student centred teaching and anticipatory teaching aims
• Create effective scenarios tailored to their own requirements
• Run a successful scenario and troubleshoot problems
• Conduct effective debriefing in order to promote reflection on the human factors that occur in clinical situations
• Create simulation situations where such non-technical skills or resource management can be practised and tested
• Understand how to develop multi-disciplinary training initiatives that improve patient safety.
