Operation! Live

The inflatable operating theatre developed at Imperial College and funded by the London Deanery’s Simulation and Technology-enhanced Learning Initiative (STeLI) was recently showcased at the Cheltenham Science festival.

Part of a research and development project into distributed simulation and the learning environment, the inflatable operating theatre has been seen at many conferences and events, including the STeLI conference, but for the first time it was seen by enthusiastic children.

“The feedback to the Operation! Live series of events was unanimously positive…the simulated operating theatre created a buzz around the whole site and everyone was talking about it” said the LabOratiry Project Manager for Cheltenham Festivals, Penelope Chapple.
