Promoting Advocacy and Patient Centeredness - a STeLI Masterclass
The London Deanery’s Simulation and Technology-enhanced Learning Initiative (STeLI) is pleased to announce that ‘Promoting Advocacy and Patient Centeredness’ a workshop delivered by members of the international Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) will take place on the 3rd of August.
The four facilitators are:
- Peter Dieckmann – Danish Institute for Medical Simulation (DIMS),
Capital Region of Denmark; President of the Society in Europe for
Simulation Applied to Medicine (SESAM).
- Kim Leighton – Dean of Educational Technology, Director of
Operation – the Center for Excellence in Clinical Simulation, BryanLGH
College of Health Sciences, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA; President,
International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning
(INACSL)
- Mary Patterson – Medical Director, Cincinnati Children’s Center for
Simulation and Research, Ohio, USA; President SSH
- Michael Seropian- Medical Director for Simulation, Oregon Health
& Science University, Oregon, USA; President Elect SSH
Each will explore the subject from their own experience and viewpoint before discussing how it can be used to improve patient safety within UK healthcare. This is a rare opportunity for to engage with four experts from the field.
The masterclass takes place in the Paget Room at the British Medical Association, Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9JP. The nearest tubes are Euston for the Northern and Victoria lines and Russell Square for the Piccadilly Line.
Lunch will be served from 1300 with the workshop starting straight afterwards.
Pre-registration is essential as there are only limited spaces available and that this event is only open to facilitators delivering training to London Deanery trainees.
